It has been quite some time since I have had the opportunity to take the time and talk about our common love of quilting. I have been quite busy working on a wall quilt that I will be entering into a competition at the upcoming AQS show in Charlotte, NC on July 30 - August 2, 2014. I am really excited because I have never entered a competition before and I'm just glad to have the chance to go and look at every one's amazing creations.
If you guys have a chance, click on the AQS link above which will take you to their site that lists their hosted shows for 2014-2015. Oh how I wish I had more vacation time. . . . I would go to every show! I am looking forward to attending some of these shows and am always looking for other quilt shows to attend. So, with that said, if you guys know of any upcoming shows this year, please post links in the comment section. Also, let us know which events you will be attending. Wouldn't it be great if we could "bump" into each other at some of these shows? It would be so great!
In other news. . . . I will soon be adding a new page to this blog which will showcase a gallery of my completed projects. In addition to working on the wall hanging for the NC show, I will be starting a 365 block quilt later this week. More information regarding this project will be provided in a different post. Hint: this project will consist of YouTube videos! How exciting, right?
Well, I hope you guys have had a wonderful year thus far creating wonderful quilts and other projects. I look forward to reading about and seeing all the fabulous projects you guys will be making. So, in addition to posting links to other upcoming shows, please tell us what projects you are currently working on. . . . . .
Until next time my friends. . . . . happy quilting!

Quilt Completed -- Updated with photo
Hi guys, this is Veronica with Ophelia's Quilts. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I certainly did. This is my first post for Year 2014! How exciting to enter into a new year of possibilities. Okay, my last post was asking if it was possible to make a quilt within 5 hours. I received some encouragement from you guys. Thank you so muc h! So I was able to complete the quilt in approximately 6-7 hours. It is not perfect and I discovered that during the process I didn't have all the materials I needed to make a "perfect" quilt, but I improvised. I think it turned out okay and my daughter loves it. . . . .what do you guys think?
